Haul posts are not shopping lists
A useful haul post mixes stats, opinions, and raw marketplace links. Copying into Notes loses structure. Re-finding the Weidian id later is slow.
From paste to cards
- Copy the comment or OP block that holds the links.
- In Credenza, use haul / Reddit paste (not a single-link stash if the block has many URLs).
- Check each card: display name, buy link, photo album when present.
- Drop items you will not buy. Keep notes that explain fit.
- Size the keepers. Open Buy in your agent when ready.
Four kinds of link in one wall of text
A haul comment is not a tidy list. It mixes things that look alike and mean different things.
- Marketplace links: Weidian, Taobao, Tmall and 1688. These become the buy link on a card.
- Agent links: a Superbuy or CNFans wrap around a marketplace item. These carry a real item too.
- Yupoo albums: photos, no checkout. They belong on the card, not as the buy link.
- Everything else: the poster's other threads, an invite link, a chat handle. These are not items.
The last group is why a plain link scrape produces junk. An agent signup link looks exactly like an agent item link until you read the path.
Why cards used to be called “W2C”
The word beside a link is often not the item. It says W2C, or link, or the URL again, or the seller's name. Take it literally and you get a shelf of identical cards.
- A label that names a host, or reads link or W2C, is dropped. The card stays honestly untitled rather than wrongly titled.
- A “Name: my thoughts on it” line splits into a name and a note.
- On a post with one item, the post title is the item name. That is what a QC post is.
- On a post with many items, the title is never stamped on every card.
Reddit damages URLs on the way in
Posters break links on purpose to dodge filters, and Reddit breaks them by accident. Both are repaired before parsing, or the whole paste reads as chatter with no links in it.
- Spaces inserted mid-URL, as in
https:// weidian.com. - Reddit's backslash escapes, as in
spider\_token. - Phone numbers: your phone turns a long item id into a dial link.
- Yupoo album paths split from their domain across two lines.
Measured on 22 real posts
The parser was tested against 22 real r/FashionReps posts, not invented examples. Before the 2026-07-24 rewrite: 12 of 22 parsed. After: 21 of 22 parsed, and all 77 items came out with a name.
The remaining failure is a seller promotion post, which is an advertisement rather than a haul. Known rough edges: a promotion post labels cards with the seller name.
One link is not a haul
A paste with a single link and no post context returns nothing here, and the ordinary single-link stash handles it instead. Guessing haul shape from one URL would card the wrong things far more often than it helped.
Posting your own haul back to the thread
A pasted comment goes one way. When it is your haul somebody asks about, you need a list that shows photos and prices without fourteen bare URLs. Share a haul list as a read-only page, and switch off any field you do not want a subreddit reading.
You still choose what to buy
