What a link resolve is, and what spends one

One link, one resolve

A link resolve is one server read of one buy link. Credenza takes the URL you pasted, reads the store page behind it, and returns the facts as a card. That is the whole unit. One link in, one resolve spent.

A pasted link on its own is a string. It has no title you can read, no price you can total, and no photo you can recognise three days later. The resolve is the step that turns the string into a card, and it is the only part of stashing an item that leaves your phone.

Three stores, and the agent fronts in front of them

Credenza reads Weidian, Taobao and Tmall, and 1688. Those are the stores the sellers actually list on, so those are the pages a resolve knows how to read.

You rarely hold a bare store link, though. Most links travel through an agent front, so Credenza unwraps the front first and reads the store underneath. Superbuy, Sugargoo, CSSBuy, Kakobuy, Hoobuy, CNFans, Mulebuy, ACBuy, OopBuy, Basetao, Wegobuy, Allchinabuy, Joyabuy, Fansbuy, Pandabuy and several more are recognised — nineteen fronts in total.

The unwrap matters for a second reason. The store link is what gets saved, so the card stays neutral, and you can still change agents later without re-adding anything.

What one read brings back

• The title, in English. The original stays on the card too.
• The price, in the store's currency and converted to USD at the day's rate.
• The seller name and whether the item is in stock.
• The gallery photos, up to ten.
• The description photos, up to twenty. This is where size charts live.
• The variant groups — colour, size, whatever the listing offers — with their swatch images.
• A one-line summary, a category, and any size notes the listing carries.

The description photos are the part people do not expect. A store's gallery almost never carries the measurements chart; the chart sits further down the listing, in the description feed. A resolve pulls that feed as well, which is why reading a size chart usually works without you hunting for a screenshot.

Why the price is right, and when it is missing

Weidian reports prices in fen, which is one hundredth of a yuan. Credenza divides by 100, so a listing that reports 29900 becomes ¥299. The USD figure uses a live exchange rate; if the rate service is unreachable, the fallback is 0.14 USD per yuan, and the card says which rate it used.

Taobao and Tmall are the weak case. Their pages hand their data to crawlers rather than to browsers, so Credenza asks for them the way a search engine does. Even then a Taobao read often returns a title and a photo but no price. That is the store, not a fault in your link. Type the price in by hand and the card is complete.

A price you typed yourself is never overwritten. If you re-resolve an item later, your figure survives and the store's is ignored.

Why a resolve sometimes returns less

Three things can be thin, and none of them loses your item.

• The link is not a store link. A Yupoo album, a Discord message, a store's home page: none of these is one item, so none can be read as one. The card is still created; it just holds what you gave it. Pairing an album with a buy link is the way out of that one.
• The store was slow. A read gives up after twenty seconds rather than hanging. The card stays, unenriched, and you can try it again.
• The translation step failed. Translation is an enhancement layered on top of the facts, so a failure there gives you an untranslated card rather than no card. The price, the photos, and the variants are all still there.

What spends one, and what does not

Free gives you 20 link resolves a day. Pro gives you 250. The counter resets at midnight UTC, and it counts server reads, not items on your shelf.

Spends one:

• Adding an item by pasting a buy link.
• Pasting a wall of links, once per link that resolves — a Reddit haul with twelve links is twelve.
• Asking an item for its size chart when the card has no description photos yet.
• Attaching a buy link to a card you made from an album.

Spends nothing:

• Opening, editing, renaming, or deleting a card.
• Moving cards between hauls, sorting, searching, or starring.
• Pressing Buy and opening the item in your agent.
• QC photos, the parcel planner, the budget, the backup file, and the spreadsheet export. None of these calls a server at all.

Going over the limit does not break anything either. The app stops calling the server and keeps the local card, exactly as it behaves when you are offline. Tomorrow's count starts fresh.

Twenty a day is a real number, not a teaser

Twenty new finds a day is more than most weeks produce. A person working through one Reddit haul thread, or one seller's album, stays inside free without thinking about it. That is the point of the free plan: it is the whole product with smaller numbers.
